Lily's big step

MILL Rythe Juniors pupil Lily-Rose Pannell has taken another big step in the gymnastics world.
The eight-year-old passed her compulsory grades level 4 in the Women's Artistic as part of her British Gymnastics elite development plan.
Lily-Rose (right) finished fourth in the competition at Basingstoke Gymnastic Club.
She qualified for a place in the team to represent the South of England at the National finals for Women's Artistic Compulsory Level 4 Championships in Birmingham, in May.
The youngster was extremely proud to represent the South of England having been chosen as one of the 60 most talented gymnasts in the country in her age group.
The member of Harlequins based at Staunton Country Park Community Sports College, started gymnastics two-and-a-half years ago and trains five sessions a week totalling 20 hours.
She also attends specialised training sessions with the junior Hampshire squad and South Region gymnastics squad, every month.
Passing her compulsory grades level 4 has opened the doors to a very exciting gymnastics future. Lily-Rose is off on a four-day training course at Lilleshall, the National Sports Centre, in Birmingham.
